I've been reading the boards and looking for a definitive list of models that should be gotten to get a solid army for each faction after the core revised set. I got the core set and both medium walkers and both command squads. I plan on getting the other 2 medium walkers that are up for pre order. Where do I go from here?

Tank Busters will give the Allies an A3 anti-tank unit that I suppose matches Heavy Lasers. Grim Reapers and Heavy Recon for some A3 anti-infantry. Zombies. Heroes. Whatever looks cool, I guess.

And to add something to the topic: I really like the hero packs because the heroes add to your game play by increasing the survivability of the squads they joined. I really dislike losing an important or powerful unit quickly because of my opponent's lucky die rolls.

Just two words: HEAVY WALKER (axis or allies)

Having said that, decide how you want to play and build your collection accordingly. Are you going to play the Axis in a Blitzkrieg style, or more defensively? A blitzing force needs zombies and apes for example. If you want the allies to rely on mobility then fast walkers and move2 infantry are you best buy.

On a side note, a hero that is faster than the unit he joins will give them his speed. I'm fond of putting Rhino in with the Red-Devils. It makes them move2, gives them beserk and extra CC attacks to keep zombies and apes at bay.

Sorry, but Rhino can't be attached to the Red Devils. Rhino has Jump and the Red Devils don't. Revised rules don't allow such a pairing.

Also, OP you should get some Spec Ops squads. Cheap activations, spotter, can call in your artillery.

Thanks. I actually did a search here for what models were in the original set. I have those on my list and few others that I think it are cool.
