My Smithy deck came today from Artscow…you can see from the pictures that it looks pretty good, though the backside of the cards is printed slightly off-centre, and this makes it difficult to imagine how I would trim them to be exactly the same dimensions as a normal Talisman card. The texture is different, too, naturally. I think I won't trim them; they come in their own cute little box, and they look good on their own. I don't think, finally, that this option would be a good one for those who want to get Adventure cards printed and then try to trim a fraction of an inch off each side to get the right proportions to be able to mix them into the existing deck. I asked at Staples, and they told me that it would be pretty much impossible for them to do it well, though they suggested I take the deck to a professional printing company to see if they could do it.
Since the Smithy deck is standalone, I don't mind the cards being a bit wider than the other Talisman cards, but if Artscow eventually offers the Talisman-sized cards, I'll be making a tonne of Adventure and Spell cards for sure!!!
