Deflect shot works against thrown weapons, which includes grenades. The letter of the rule suggests that by making a successful parry attempt against grenades will negate all damage. However, the character doesn't move, so is still in the blast radius. Are there any rules or precedents for rules regarding what happens to the deflected shot.
Parrying a Grenade With Deflect Shot
Logically, the grenade is slapped/kicked/thrown safely out of the range of anyone who would otherwise be hit. Straight up would seem to be the simplest.
Not directly back at the thrower (as per some old Dark Eldar fluff)?
Occasionally, flicked towards the rest of the party would seem appropriate.
Eh, If you wanted that to be a thing, add a caveat like "If you succeed on a parry test to redirect a grenade by more than 3 degrees, you are able to knock it in the direction of your choosing before the grenade detonates, up to d5+SB metres. If no choice is made, assume the grenade will be kicked into the air, down a hole or into a convenient sarcophagus where it detonates harmlessly."

To keep it interesting, I would use scatter and not allow a choice in direction.
That's exactly what I'd do. Scatter diagram and the grenade flies away a number of yards equal to its blast radius +1, putting the character on the first square outside of the blast radius.
You realise, of course, that some grenades are equipped with an impact fuze⦠Parrying could set them off, if the GM is feeling malicious.
