I know it's been brought up a couple times that the Regroup order removes Reaction markers from units, but that it's not possible for a unit who hasn't been ordered to have a Reaction marker on it.

Well, I just realized it is possible, although it won't happen very often. If a vehicle gets destroyed while there are soldiers inside it, the soldiers disembark and get a reaction marker put on them. If this happens to the Responding Player during the Command Phase, then the Responding Player could use the regroup order to get rid of the reaction marker in his/her Command Phase.

So it isn't a totally pointless rule. :-)

Nice catch, I think there are one or two other possibilities hiding out there similar to this (It had to come up in play test to have been added in), but as you said it will be a rare circumstance.
