I am a huge FFG fan. I own the majority of their games, and was really excited when they picked up Talisman. FFG is the king of expansions, and in my opinion if there is any game that needs frequent and endless expansions, its Talisman (besides Arkham Horror of course). We haven't heard any real updates regarding the next expansion or Talisman's future in general. When there was the possible leak regarding a Dungeon expansion, FFG didn't even comment! Those 20 questions from Talsiman Island haven't even been posted yet!

Now.. I live in Milwaukee, WI. A bit of a drive to FFG headquarters, but I'm willing to make it so I can set up some sort of one man protest again this anti-Talismanism. I'll bring protest signs and all!

...and don't read anything into the fact that nobody from FFG commented about the post the other day. They very rarely post on these forums as they are too busy developing games! Any news will be posted on the main FFG site when they are ready to do so.

Just out of curiosity what was the source of this news? I've been pouring over the US Copyright and Trademark databases eversince that other thread popped up and while I can find the Original copyrites there hasnt been any new postings in quite a while.

Well, I logged on and saw the new Upcoming web feature so I got really excited. All this talk about the Dungeon expansion got me thinking that it might be right around the corner. So, imagine my dismay when I paged through the Upcoming list and found nothing about Talisman. Woe are we, the lonely Talisman fans who have been shunned to the bottom of the sprawling pile of FFG boardgames. Will we never been shown any love? I'm not buying the "too busy" excuse. It doesn't take more then a half an hour to make a compelling blog entry.

Seems to me that some folks need to RELAX!!! The game JUST came out and the first expansion was released at the same time! Try putting yourselves in the shoes of folks who have been without an expansion or any HOPE of one for a LONG time for a favorite game (BATTLELORE!). Believe me, Talisman fans have NOTHING to compain about...

On minor qualm, but does anyone else really dislike that picture posted with it? Is that supposed to be the gladiator the article mentioned? It seems detached from the other art in the 4.5e. A return to 3rd edition warhammer-esque artwork almost.

Looks to be a board expansion (duh), since it is a full-sized box and not a small-box, like the Reaper.

I'm also guessing that that armored figure in the picture that was shown in the preview looks to be some sort of enemy or monster (maybe the dungone boss?), and not the gladiator (who i'm guessing is the figure with the sword and shield). The other four are pretty easily deduced, I think.

As I mentioned over on BGG, the new Sage seems to be like the Philosopher of old. Interesting to see what the new Phil will bring.
