Last night I was playing the Vampiress and she was turned good in the Village. A later die roll gave me the option of going to the Forest or going to the Graveyard. Even though I was good I chose to go to the Graveyard. My wife gave me a puzzled look as I didn't discard a life. I informed her that one of the special abilities of the Vampiress is that she restores her full life value in the Graveyard. Since I was at 5 (the Vampiress' life value) when I went to the Graveyard, I immediately lost one life for showing up there, but then immediately restored one life because of the special ability. My wife agreed. Is this correct?

I think You are correct. According to FAQ, You can encounter simultaneous effects in the order You wish. So, You decided firstly to encounter the Graveyard, then Your own ability. Also pay attention that her ability says: " visit Graveyard". Completely different situation could be if the ability would be: " land on the Graveyard" - in this matter You MUST firstly encounter Your ability then encounter the space itself.

I think Nemomon is right.

You should visit the graveyard first, and then you can heal your character.

It''s the same with warlock quest and visit the enchantress.

You visit first the enchantress and then you are teleported to the warlock cave.

If it says that you land on the graveyard, then you could heal first and then encounter the space.
