Using Psychic Powers during Warp Travel

By TechVoid, in Rogue Trader Gamemasters

Hi,

as the title indicates I have a rather simple question: Are psychic powers somehow affected during warp travels? I mean you are pretty close to the **** immaterium which could make it easier to use your psychic powers.

On the other hand, if something goes wrong - it should turn out to be really nasty.

Any ideas or comments? Are there rules for that?

Cheers,

TechVoid.

There isn't anything in the rules about this but it's a pertinent question. I'd rule that being in the warp is balanced by the enforced reality bubble of the gellar field so no mechanical differences. But perhaps a different flavour to psychic phenomenon descriptions, varying between more constrained or more wild depending on if the field is fluctuating.

My thoughts exactly

I have always ruled that the gellar field is designed to keep the warp out. There fore the manifestation of powers is much harder, and should the psyker succeeded, it means that the field has been broken and there is a chance of demonic incursion. Any sustained powers need to be tested every round with the same penalties
