Hello Fellow Gms,
I haven't posted in awhile but, I have run into a snag and need some ideas to help me out. During the last campaign I had everyone buy their equipment for a mission they thought was about to occur. However, as they were about to leave the watch base they were attacked by tyranid. The watch commander went off by himself and fought while feeding the kill team (one of the very few teams actually ready for a raid by chance) new objectives. They were able to save many marines and collect gene seed of fallen ones along with meeting old friends and faces from throughout the entire year we have played so far. Towards the end they realized an inquistor ship was the one who blocked their defenses. what they don't know at the moment is that the inquisitor is in fact in control of an artifact that acts like a hive tyrant and he was in fact controlling the tyranid who attacked. As the game ended they saw two squads of marines attempt to board the inquisitor ship. While one squad made it the other was wiped out and the living marines were taken away as the ship took off into the warp. I concluded the game by giving them the list of dead and alive marines. (i have a list of every marine, there specialty and squad name on a master list) and they were shocked that over half the deathwatch was actually wiped out. Now my two smart players are pretty sure the inquistor was behind it all and a heretic. i was wondering if anyone would think it interesting if the inquisitor actually thinks hes the good guy. He believes the deathwatch to be evil and wishes its destruction. he will posion the minds of admirals, imperial guard and maybe even other marines to attack the KT if they get close. But i need some feedback on if thats a good idea, and some ideas on how to get that idea going. Any advice and campaign ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance!
