Jumping into Warfare by starting an SSU force. here is my first repaint on my first model:
I am going with urban rubble bases. The green is Vallejo "Russian uniform green" over a rusty/brownish red flat primer. Then some weathering/washes.

You can get a few SSU models mail order: Fury of Ivan, Red Cossack, etc.

So you just undercoated with a reddish-brown and drybrushed the green/khaki over the top before applying a wash? Been struggling to get the fatigues on my SSU infantry how i want them and was considering trying this. What would you guys reccomend?
Once all the SSU stuff comes out I want to grab a couple of the models from the dust48 line on dust-models website. They have a cool Zverograd statue there too that I want to eventually get and I love the LMC46 allied landing craft and would love to see some warfare rules for it and for the Fury of Ivan, etc.
