Couple of Questions - Tactics cards, Heroes, and Game Winning conditions

By Spyder, in Runewars

Hello… I trolled through the forums and couldn't find anything specific on my questions, so here goes…

1. Tactics Cards - is there any limit on the number of cards you can play, at one time? Like can I play three "during my turn" and a couple during a battle, etc.

2. Heroes - The training states that you can only have a max of (pg26) of one training token on it. I read this that you could train one time, as +1/+1 for two different attributes. Then train another time, for +1/+1 for the same two attributes, making them both +2. The max on any attribute would be +2, as there are no +3 tokens and only one is allowed at a time. Is this a correct read?

3. Winning the game - Pg 30. Exactly when does the winning condition happen? As soon as one player aqcuires the 6th rune ? "That's it… I have 6 now" . Or does the winning condition happen at a specific time in the game round/phase, where the person who has 6 is declared the winner? Since there is a tie-breaker mechanism, it would suggest that the winning condition happens at a specific time in the game round, but I can't find mention of that. Otherwise, it seems to me, that only one person would normally get the 6th rune, through game play, in order with Order cards.

Thanks for the clarifications.

There is no limit, as long as the condition was met for playing the cards. You can even play two copies of the same card.

Yes, that is correct; basically, the rule is saying that a hero cannot have more than +2 of any given attribute. When you train, you can do +1/+1, or just do a straight-up +2 to an attribute.

(NOTE: When you train via a quest result or such, you only train ONE attribute +1; it's basically like a half a training order)

You win instantly as soon as you have 6, regardless of when it happens.

The tiebreakers are for situations where two players receive runes simultaneously (such as with Power for the Pious), or for when the end of the last year occurs with nobody reaching 6 runes.

In the expansion, there is a game option called Road to Victory where you don't win instantly, but your victory is delayed by a year.
