What short adventures would you recommend from WFRP1 and WFRP2 to adapt to WFRP3?

By Ceodryn, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hi,

I'd like to adapt a few adventures to the Fantasy Grounds 2 WFRP3 ruleset, and hope to run them afterwards as demo.

I am therefore looking for short adventures, that can be played in one session only. Is there any WFRP1 or WFRP2 adventures that you recall being short and good?

Thanks in advance

I enjoyed runnign "With a Little Help from my Friends", "Its a Dog Eat Dog World", and "Rough Night at the Three Feathers" via Maptool. The intro scenario in the WFRP2 core rulebook would be a good one too.

I ran "Rough Night at Three Feathers" too and it worked great.

Most WFRP2 adventures can be roughly converted to WFRP3 on the fly. WFRP3 is so easy to improvise with that you can usually figure it out as you go along.
If you want to do some proper conversion work ahead of time, try seeing where you can include trackers and rally points. Also, make sure to convert the currency correctly. Currency worked completely different in WFRP2 compared to WFRP3 so prices and rewards will be way off if you just take them directly from a WFRP2 adventure.

I've tried running "Eye Of The Tiger" and "No Such Thing as Skaven" and none of them ran into any problems, and both are very decent WFRP adventures.

I've also run "Sing for your supper" with WFRP3, but in hindsight I'd say this adventure is too easily breakable if the players go slightly off script or miss a clue.

I'd also reccomend trying to run "Grauschloss" with pre-generated characters (one Witch Hunter, one Agent, and two noble warrior careers). I ran this with WFRP2 and found it to be a great investigative adventure with some proper Warhammer flavour. It's a one-off with pre-gen characters though.

I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but "The Pig, The Witch, and her Lover" is a great short scenario that would work well for such a thing.

"rough night a the three feathers! as others have already suggested is a great little thang,, also a couple of the mini ones from "deaths dark shadow".. and "mistaken identity" from "shadowsover Bögenhafen"…

Ok, so I've got:

  • With a Little Help from my Friends
  • Its a Dog Eat Dog World
  • Rough Night at the Three Feathers
  • Travel Through the Drakwald
  • Eye Of The Tige
  • No Such Thing as Skaven
  • Sing for your Supper
  • Grauschloss
  • The Pig, The Witch, and her Lower
  • Mistaken Identy

Thanks for the suggestions! That should keep me occupied coding FG2 adventures for a while ;)

Cheers
