It''s not pasting right - if you replace the arrow with a question mark it should work. Or just go to www.dust-models.com and you''ll see it listed under new products on the bottom right.

Really useful; thanks for the update!

Weird, mine did the same

So how many dice do you figure is a good number to have on hand?

Between the original and revised boxes, I have 18 currently -- but already roll 25 whenever I take Lara and her grenadiers.

Cheers!

I would think 18 Would be fine for warfare Lara + Recon would only roll 20 so it not nearly as bad of a deficit.

I'm holding out for themed faction dice!

Paolo said they weren't going to be soon but definitely a possibility.

The link is actually: http://dust-models.com/products_d.php?nid=19&id=269.

Look under "Dust Tactics Accessories, Page 2" happy.gif .

The initial link was correct when the thread began. Dust Studios moved the dice off the new release tab to the accessories just recently. So, good catch. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I had 18 from the 2 core sets but still opted to get an additional set, bringing my total to 33. It's nice to have lots of dice so people don't have to keep passing them back and forth, and a few units as already mentioned roll a lot in certain situations.

I'm considering purchasing these, but I am not really happy with the weight of the dust dice. Has anyone found any dice with some kind of symbol on the 1/6 or 5/6 from Chessex or any other company? I looked at their website, but could only find custom, which run around $2 each, and is more than I want to pay. Just curious if anyone has found any alternatives.

Chessex does custom logos on dice but I think they just do it on one facing and it has to be either the 1 or 6 that is custom. I know someone who has some awesome Green dice with an allied star on it that I thought were pimp I would love to get a set for each faction to use, but they cant find where they bought them any more.

Chessex will do custom dice with whatever you want on the 1 and the 6 sides, and leave the 2-5 sides blank, but the colors available for that setup are much more limited than their dice where there is just one custom face. I had pretty much decided to go with them anyway, putting the star on green and the iron cross on grey, but their greens available are decidedly non-military.

The starred dice you saw were probably Flames of War faction dice. Their green is perfect. Unfortunately, Gake Force 9 doesn't do custom, and they are the manufacturers of the FiW dice. I asked them if they could do it, and they recommended Chessex.

I was still going to go with Chessex, but had a life interruption, and now that I can do so again, I'm having a hard time justifying custom dice when I can get 15 official dice for the price of 2.5 Chessex ones, lol.

I might still do so, as I'm a sucker for all things faction logo. sonrojado.gif

I placed my order for Dust dice on 5/26, got them in the mail today. With shipping the grand total was $7. Very inexpensive and that's not bad shipping time considering it's from Hong Kong. With my revised core set dice the total is now 21 of them, 1 more than needed for Lara shotting with Hevy Recon Grenadiers.

Yeah, all my orders through them have had pretty quick turnaround except pre-release stuff. I'm pretty surprised as well on the quick money-out to product-in from Hong Kong as well.

I ordered mine yesterday. Its funny you mention shipping. They tell you shipping is 2 bucks before you ever tell them where you live… It cost me the same 7 bucks. Meeeeessa lika dis. Maybe yousa and ussun being friends (sorry, channeling my inner Gungan) gran_risa.gif

With the 6 from core set, the scatter dice from black reach and the 2 scatters from my dice cubes, that brings me to 24…. 12 for you, 12 for me! Unless, Lara and friends were to need them, then its, "Gimme all the dice" gui%C3%B1o.gif

I'm glad to hear they arrived quickly. I'm the type of person that runs to the mailbox everyday like a crazed child when I know I have something coming.

Another recommendation I have vis-a-vis dice…

Buy the Dust boardgame.

Aside from getting a great boardgame which all my friends describe as being, "exactly like Risk, only fun!" you get 10 Dust dice which, unless it's changed, are brown with orange target symbols. I find these are perfect for those times when you have weapons which do different damage amounts, or when you are splitting fire, AT stuff at walkers, rifles at infantry, e.g. Just announce as you're rolling, "Black are my STG's vs your Hell Boys, the brown are my Panzerfausts vs your Pounder."

The only thing better than paying 2 bucks for shipping is getting free shipping, the 2 beans from HK is good enough. The crazed child to the mail box made me snicker, I'm the same way. I did not consider using GW scatter dice, I have some of those laying around.

I've found part replacements come faster from Dust Studios in Hong Kong than they do from FFG as well, even though I'm physically much closer to FFG (as I'm in Canada.) Their customer service is top-notch and they send things out right away. I've gotten dice, decals, card sleeves, and a part replacement from them and they were very quick with all of the transactions.

Awesome! I'm in Canada as well so I'm happy to hear that they are quick to Canada. I needs me my dice! Where in Canada are you from? Do you live on my street? partido_risa.gif

Kitchener, Ontario. I often see that people are in Canada who play Dust Warfare, and then find out they don't live anywhere close to me… this country is too damned big.

Where abouts are you from?

Oh, and I find from placing the order to the item arriving is usually around 2 weeks… not bad at all for something shipped from the opposite end of the world.

All these reports of good service and fast shipping from the other side of the planet might not be such a good thing. I could easily go nuts in the Dust online store.

must…use…restraint…
