I take it back

By Emirikol, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I used to gripe about the immense chances to succeed hitting in this game. I take it back. I''''m sitting in a session of ArcanisRPG where I''''ve not hit anything in 14 attacks and my only "special" actions are not that great..and of course it''s hit or miss so there''s no secondary effects like in WFRP.

I''''d give anything to be doing anything other than rolling (to miss) and that''''s it…but it is such in ''lesser'' RPGs.

Cheers WFRP 3.

jh

i''ve seen sessions like that before, our bright wizard didnt hit for a mere 12 hours, not even with magic dart and his stats were pretty good at that point. it can happen, luck was not on your side :-(

That was always one of the complaints of the previous two editions of WFRP, and many other RPGs. Low-level characters *suck*. They cannot do anything competently if there are dice rolls involved.

Yeah, it always feels kind of weird to go to a game where you cannot even do simple stuff until you''ve leveled a little.

It''s likely just my group, but they have a hell of a time ever actually succeding at anything. stats wise it should all be a breeze, but no. the int characters cant deduce things, the str characters cant hit things, the fel characters cant talk to people, sigmar help them if they try to do something they arent normally supposed to be good at. Due to their terrible luck last session they had one char die, and a second come **** close to it!

When I create a Char and think "This will be really cool to play" I will probably die the first session to bad luck/rolls. If I create a char totally random it becomes a immortal demigod. The dice gods makes everything go that chars way.

2% chance to survive the fall. A well, I didn't really like this char anyway. Roll 01.

I stay behind sacrificing myself so that the others can escape. "GM, Roll five times to see how much time you buy" Roll 01, 05, 10, 07, 01. "Blank stare from Gm". Roll again use other dice.
