Tomorrow is Feb the 11th...

By Zeal, in Battlelore

From this thread: http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efpag=0&efid=14&efcid=1&efidt=48819

Richard Borg indicated we would know more on Feb 11th. Well, tomorrow is the 11th, so we shall see. Although Richard phrased it as: "We will all know more after February 11th, " which could mean December 28th, which IS after Feb 11...

So, anyone care to make wild speculation to ease the wait?

How about:

" FFG sells Battlelore back to DOW for pennies on the dollar. A spokesperson for FFG noted that the voracious fanbase for Battlelore frightened them."

or

"Battlelore to be incorporated into Warhammer 40k universe! Try a "Mounted Charge" against a Tyranid invasion force!"

or

"FFG deems HR/FF/RR lore cards too tame. See all new "ICE Comet" and "Leaping Lava" lore cards certain to provoke a table flip!!..."

Possibly a new Dwarf Specialist Fig (like we have so few gui%C3%B1o.gif .."The Beer Wagon" Any Dwarf Unit adjacent become BOLD 15 howeve to move they must use a Scatter Die to determine direction.

I like it OD! Perhaps an addtional bonus of "When adjacent to Hill Giant or Troll, opponent can pay 2 lore up to 3 turns to immoblized unit" Heavy drinker, you see... Of course, if facing BOLD15 dwarves, a monster will be hacked up into soo much goo...

I'm just hoping they get rid of the weighted dice and bring out some balanced ones (instead of these ones that always seem to roll the proper color when my wife attacks me, and any other color when I attack her).

The problem is widely known - these dices are from the first edition. Nearly the same wood they used for the dices of Mem44. I surely hope they stop producing those dices in china-wood. " Free wood for free dices" I say

well and while writing nonsense th sun went up and a new day begins: 2.11.!!!!

And here in sweden the sun is now setting.

Maybe "after" was the keyword in the statement that we will all know more after feb 11th...

I've noticed this same issue! My wife is ruthless, and takes all sort of chances because she can make 'dem bones sing. Perhaps some sort of XX chromosme attunment to the organic wooden dice. . . preocupado.gif

Yeah, a conspiracy that will take over the world - after feb 11th

How about the all new "Grass Blast" Cleric card that finally completes the HR/FF/RR set. It's targeting all enemy units in "Clear Terrain" hexes... demonio.gif

Don't think Richard would be pleased to see his game incorporated into another game he didn't develop (Warhammer). But i suspect if we don't hear anything today (the 11th) probably for sure by the 12th. I know Richard is not the type of person to tease his customers (unlike some other companies/folks we all know all too well). And still pretty sad about the fact that still we the customers still can't get even a response from a FFG person other than for maybe a FAQ (and that person has hit quite a few forum boards as well for a FAQ for those games as well - so I really don't count that as a response from them)

Ha I like it!

Wild speculation does make the waiting more endurable...

Me, too!!! But I'm pretty sure I'll have the proverbial rug ripped out from under me yet again.

Yes well it IS wild speculation, Cab.

In fact, in your honor, lets assume that FFG Battlelore updated version that Goblin cav units are no longer able to charge... lengua.gif

Zeal

If you notice the News Section FFG posted up 4 Announcements on Feb.11th..none of which mentioned BattleLore serio.gif

OD

Today ist the 12th, at least in Europe. If news is to come at 11th, then some guys have to hurry ;)

Maybe he meant "after 11th Feb. 2010"??? gran_risa.gif

"Invoque the mower" I'd call it, but you have to roll the dice before using it - if you roll a lore it all went wrong and you have to cut your hair instead - this card will continue keeping away girls from playing BL.

Only if they also remove the card that allows you to duplicate my move! Remember you started the chain! :)

Cab

Sigh - you would think something would be up by now. But then I guess that is par for the course for us, right folks (ignore the BL customer fan base and allow them to speculate on what might happen)

Cab

Well at least this is something that won't change much from before lengua.gif

Whats really choice is that I just got an FFG e-mail Special Notice for 2/12/09 Info on some sales & releases but nothing on BattleLore.I think FFG brought over the guy who handled PR for DoW along with BattleLore.

OD

Maybe they are simply giving the fan base just enough rope to keep hopes, and interest, up. That way the fans keep expanding the game themselves, which will make FFG's job that much easier. Take the best of, slap some artwork (and a hefty price tag) on it, and voila! your next expansion. Not saying that wouldn't be a quality product though. Of all boardgame players, BL fans are the most innovative. And not just out of necessity. It is something inherent in being a BL player.

Though I bought into the hype and hoped something would post today, the actual wording was after Feb 11th. I'm assuming something pops up tomorrow or Monday.

Well there was nothing in the Friday news release to retailers about anything new for Battlelore - so sadly no news from that channel.

Seems we have the same old PR people we have from DoW - all talk and no action. Well I guess not even talk since Richard is doing the talking! :(
