Can anyone more versed in Warhammer backgound tell me what Keys of Secrets are?

I think without checking they are the keys bright order wizards get at each rank, allowing them knowledge and access to secrets or parts of the bright college they previously were not privy too. I do know that pyromancers are given keys for each ranks they achieve within there order if they are keys of secrets or not im not 100%, but the name kinda rings true. It will be in Realms of Sorcery from 2ed if not covered by 3ed material. I can never remember where I gained specific knowledge just that ive read it somewhere.
