This card says: : "In addition to your normal encounter....". Does it matter which order these encounters are encountered? For example, can I buy a blessing card at South Church first & then use it if a skill check is required at the current location?

Well, in my experience, an encounter must be conducted in its entirety, so I'd take "in addition to" to mean, "immediately before or immediately after." So in such a case, I'd say you can't get the blessing mid-encounter.

I think my answer was more in response to Julia's answer. It sounded like she was suggesting that, midway through your encounter, you can opt to use the Summoning Glass (perhaps to get a Blessing to help you out). Sorry if I confused everyone.

The order of the actions doesn't matter as they're both carried out during the same phase. That's sort of similar to one of Ursulla's special abilities.

She may resolve a location's special ability in addition to having an encounter there. The order makes no difference.
