if a deathbount event play, an opponent canceled that event, i place that event on discard or on deadpile?

My understanding is that it's not the playing of the Event that is cancelled, merely it's effect.

That being the case, the Deathbound will still take effect, putting it in your Dead Pile.

Sorry. That is incorrect.

"Deathbound" is considered an effect of the card. If the event is canceled, the "Deathbound" is canceled, too. So the replacement doesn't happen and the card goes to the discard pile.

This situation is actually included as part of the definition of the Deathbound keyword in the Core Set rulebook.
