Infamous Event

By Galactus2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Pretty straight forward question here:

Does the Infamous event work for power challenges? And if so, does it also take the unopposed power token at the same time?

I wonder because technically during a power challenge you only "move" power rather than "claim" it as per the text of the card.

Thanks in advance.

If you played Infamous in response to winning an unopposed power challenge, you'd move the unopposed power, but not the claim power - your right that the claim effect for winning a power challenge "moves" power rather than "claims" power. This fact may be one of the least intuitive rules in the game, but there you have it.

Thanks for the previous help with this card.

I do have a followup though!

In a Melee game, would this card be able to take power all the power for these scenarios:

  1. A challenge goes unopposed against a player with an opposing title. (Can you take the 2 power?)
  2. A military challenge goes unopposed with the attacker using Siege of Winterfell. (Can you take all 3 power?)

Thanks again!

No, in neither case, as the power for an unopposed challenge is claimed at a slightly different time, as does the extra power for winning against an opposing title.

Word! Thanks for the help!
