I play Building season. My opponent and I both search for a location. since it is my Plot, I must reveal first. Do I reveal first and then my opponent can get a different location based on what I chose OR do we both choose a location, but I revel first then my opponent reveals his?

In theory, you search and reveal, then your opponent searches and reveals, so your opponent can "change" the card they choose after seeing yours.

In practical terms, people rarely do, but it is legal.

I always make it a point to wait what my opponent gets before I search my deck. In many cases it doesn't make a difference, but sometimes it does. Plus, it teaches this somewhat obscure rule to them, which is a plus.
