Minion control stat

By balom, in Black Crusade House Rules

I was going over the minion rules and i observed that the high level minions have very high fellowship requirements, putting them in a hard to reach position if you'r not playing a very sociable character. So i thought that Minions control should be dependant on different stats acording to their nature. It doesn't make any sense that my heretek need a shining personality to control a servitor. This isn't a ironclad rule, and more something to make out with your GM. So this is my categorization.

Mortal creatures (humans , aliens, space marines) would be controlled by Fellowship as usual. This corresponds to the concept of the charismatic leader who inspires fanatical devotion.

Demonic and unnatural creatures would be controlled using Willpower as warp deamons aren't the kind to be loyal to mortals but can be made to bow to a strong willed character.

Machine type minions (robots, servoskuls, servitors) would be controled using Intelligence. Their performance isn't a matter of loyalty but of programming and how good that is.

I'm not very sure were some creatures like trained animals would go (WP or Fel) but this can be debated.

The minion advances should be available using any of the three control stats but only usable for the stat that is sufficient. so if I buy Greater Minion with my Int I can't use it to make a daemon or space marine follower, only a machine type follower. But should my Wp or Fel increase to the required level I can use the advance without having to pay anything extra.

i really dont have anything to add, but do think this makes a lot more sense than current and is inline with archetypical advances. thumbs up.

pure guinius, be sure to mention that to my GM. happy.gif
