Could Expansions be added to the collections?

By SuperKalelJorson7, in Support

I know that the FFG staff has nothing better to do, but it would be great if expansions for games like Arkham Horror and Runebound could be added to a player's collection. I don't necessarily mean that every Call of Cthulhu cardgame expansion pack and small Runebound pack should get the same points as say, Descent. It would certainly be a better indication of how much I've spent.

Also, I really miss the upcoming releases page.

I agree on both counts.

Perhaps expansions should get their own sub-category like BoardGames, CCGs, etc do now.

Hehe, as I'll soon have more expansions than actual games, I'm all for this gran_risa.gif .

Ditto. I was wondering if this would ever be included as a feature.

I think, it's eventual possible step how to progress and advance this pages. But first, thay must introduce checking mechanism (forex serial No., bundled certificate, ... ) and divide players into 3 groups, because present status quo withhold informations about keeping ( now I can check all checkboxes as owned regardless of ownership ):

1.) Really owners which spend their money for games (1 owner, having game at home),
2.) Members which are in on financing $ part owners, (not necessarily has game at home),
3.) Not owners only players (members of play group which haven't game).

Serial No. registered only on 1 user account compared in FFG database. That person will be as owners and another group members will be only as sharing members. This is needed if FFG wants obtain informations about:
a.) how many owners form overall sold arrays registered self?
b.) how many of them actively utilizes FFG pages / portal?
c.) what's major share of all constitutes player's base (part owners)?
d.) and what biggies group creates players (haven't game) i.e. the potential customers which registered self and his activity on forums damning interest in FFG products?

Finally, is this absolutely needs for FFG???

- // - is this absolutely needs for us as members???

I say both! but every system must have meaning and purpose without them is useless.

......Wow I need to drink my coffee see below post for reply

I am not sure I see your point on a Serial Number system. The Collection is for nobody but us. This is not Days of Wonder and we are not playing games online. They scrapped the Descent PC Game. Other then the My collection is bigger then yours syndrome the collection has nothing to do with your points. Points are for your Forum posts and nothing else (I just spent $250 on Rackham stuff and still had the same amount of points). The raffles are really a grey area right as you have no idea how we get the points for the posts on the mystery scale.

So therefore you have no benefit for checking off every box as a owner. I can't even check off some of the games from FFG that I own (TI:2, Marvel Heroes, Golfmania, Delta V, Wreckage, Mutiny, Thunder's Edge and others). I would like to check off those and all the expansions (Of which I have every expansion made for AH, Runebound 2e, Descent, Doom, Tanhauser, Thunder's Edge, TI:3, TI:2) I see no need to the CCG games expansions as buying 1 pack really isn't having a game.

The game collection does assist you in finding people that have similar interests in games (then again 90% of FFG games fit in a certain group anyways)

Man I have to type slower. The errors are now fixed so please read this as it is easier on the brain.

I'd agree that adding expansions would be nice.... so that if I'm talking to someone on the boards I can know what they are playing with.
