No one that i know of. On the off chance that we don't get a gm, how hard would it be to run a 2 man game with one of us being the gm? Just a thought.

Though the only creature book i have is the one for Dark Heresy. Might work but some of the talents are different.

A friend and I are looking for a local group, but might be persuaded to give online play a shot. Both in Ontario Canada, so I don't think timezones will be an issue. Also forgot to mention, he's willing to GM, the only question is if he's interested in online play.

6-7 pm Eastern seems to be a good time, If your friend wants to Gm that would be a welcome addition. The only thing we lack at this point is a voice chat system for the game and a dice roller program. Once we have that in order, the gm can announce the start date. I surely hope you can join us.

Vassal could work for the dice roller, as we've used that just for map layouts for local games.

Assuming you both have mics, I'm sure we can find something for voice chat. Vassal has built in text chat as well. Contact me at my email address with of your characters (or for a sample character template, if you lack one) and I'll pitch the idea to the GM. We'll take it from there.

As I'm not often on these forums and can't figure a way to have them remind me when a new post happens, I'd recommend emailing me.

Have you checked out Roll20 for online play? Its got built in dice, chat, maps, etc, and no download, its all inside your web browser. I am in a Black Crusade game on it, and I was shocked by how great it was, honestly.

Just checked the site for roll20, looks like it will work. By the way, which class will you be playing? I submitted a layout for a Rogue trader with an Endeavour light cruiser, It's well setup for a starting ship with room to add new components. The GM hopefully will post the details for the first session sometime soon. If you want details on the ship i can post the setup, still time to change hulls if needed.

I'm not sure. It depends on the type of game the GM wants to run and stuff.

I have an idea for a Kroot, and for an Arch Militant or Void Master. (I could come up with a Kabalite warrior idea, too, but the book isnt out yet hehe)

Sounds good. The Kroot might be an interesting play, depending on GM approval. Now with the void master, are you going for the pilot roll or more starship based. I wouldn't think that my RT would have any outstanding issues with a kroot onboard. The issue would be the whole Vessel of the fleet package i bought for my ship. Character wise, I have the forbidden lore Inquision from the dark voyage selection. Not sure how to explain that yet, more than likely it falls under things not ment to be known. Anyway I have no disapproval of a kroot on the ship. But that will be up to the GM. Might have enough trouble with the inquisition as is

I am interested in joining. I am inexperienced but am familiar with game, 40K, and have most of the source books. Considering an Arch-Militant but will gladly fill roles that are less-present or absent.

Roll20 is the way to go. Their is also a vassal mod, vassal 40K, that you can use but I do not like it as much and the groups I have been in that use that have been horrible.

Hey Folks I am a GM in the local Pugent Sound area. I have had a couple of seats open at my table. What do we engage in at my table you may ask. Welll right now I have a phenominal Campaign set in the 40k Only War setting. I have incorporated a bit of Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader to add some spice but you still play as a squad of Guardsmen who find themselves thrown into some interesting situations with important decisions at your feet to make. The game is 70% Role Play and 30% Combat. The Combat is usually pretty decent in scale and we most often set up a wargaming table to duke it out with minis and tanks and well whatever shade of hell Ive decided to throw at you along with the complications. For any steady player I also design with the player and cutom build and paint a Mini that refelects their Character in game for use when we throw down on the table. We are not very far into the Campaign so you wont be jumping into the middle of a well established game.

Dont worry we play in person. I just find it easier to store all the data intarweb side so that the players can access it as they like to keep their gears turning even when we arent sitting at the table. We are an easy going group of middle ages guys. I host at my House in Graham or at a Gaming Store that works for everyone depending on what the players desires are for a location. We know commute and new people can be a factor and so we are flexible to that. Day and time of play will be whatever works best for everyone but it will likely be a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We are happy to find a location that will work for all of our players so dont let that concern you. Anyhow check out the link and let me know if you have questions or are interested.

However, we live in europe, and europe seems to be almost void of roleplayers, whether it be rogue trader or any other form. We'd like to join in with a group that either plays at european friendly times (so like 01:00 PM EST or something like that), or a different site (besides roll20) where people post LFG things to play online.

I am running a Dark Heresy Game on Saturdays at 1PM (Eastern Standard Time) and we do emphasize role playing alot...

Though I will note/warn of two things;

A. My universe of 40k though similiar I do run it in my own way (example; call it a dimension like Earth 616 from Marvel, whatever)

B. I play with House Rules ranging from Distance modifications to help with smaller grid maps on Fantasy Grounds to doing DoS / DoF in the vein of RT

I didn't touch any homeworlds, backgrounds, or roles - all that remains untouched as an FYI
