Need help from the experienced players....reprint question

By BigWilly1231, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

So I was offered a fairly good deal (trade) for Game of Thrones Core (This will be my third set) and the entire A Clash of Arms and A Time of Ravens chapter packs.

I guess my question is: Is it worth getting the 40 card packs or should I just wait for the 60 card reprint? As far as a financial deal it is a good one so that is not in question.

The question is: Is it worth waiting for the 60 pack reprints? Ultimately the 60 packs would cost me a lot more. Just wondering if the 40 packs would be enough.

I know a newbie question; but, I figured this would be the best place to ask.

FFG CEO, C.Peterson mentioned in the past that the first two CP cycles may get the x3 reprint treatment once stocks are deemed "low" and needs replenishing.
Currently, some of the CPs in that cycle are hard to find and have inflated prices on ebay and such.
No reprint announcement yet.
I think no one outside of FFG knows if those cycles are getting the x3 reprint treatment. Nothing is for certain.
My advice is, if you are a tourney player or like the game enough, I'd suggest getting them while you can. If you don't mind holding out for an uncertain future then by all means let's cross fingers.

We aren't sure if they even ARE reprinting those chapter pack cycles. So it might be in your best interest to get those packs. Although the safest bet would be to wait a month or so and see if they announce anything.

I say get them. Staton's advice is good, but I've been "waiting a month or so and see if they announce anything" for about three or four months now. I had figured the announcement would come around the time the Defenders of the North reprint was out the door. Those reprints are waaaay overdue.

I also think you should get them if you think the cost is right. You will receive 3x of most of the relevant cards(Carrion Birds, Black/White Ravens) and you will at least have access to 1x of those plots.

It is hard for me to imagine them not reprinting them considering they are still adding new Raven cards and there are relevant interactions with that trait in that CP cycle.

Clash of Arms, not so much.
