i picked up the Poisoned Spear chapter pack today, and judging by the ffg website it was put on the shelves prematurely. would it be frowned upon to post spoilers for you guys?

I'm picking mine up tomorrow, so I think it should be ok, right?
Oh! Heads up, they're already posted on agotcards.
Yes, Bara Knights and Dothraki have received steeds that are a testament to their skills. Naturally, the weak horsemen of the other houses have been given poor mounts. I am not even kidding.
aw, i thought i was special

The Martell Warhorse is pretty impressive, fits well with the control through return to hand and icon loss effects that they have been getting recently.
Sorrowful Man and Across the Summer Sea are both incredible; I'm really glad to see Targ love continues, but I'd almost like to see them get some weaker cards in the next pack or two; I think Targ got a bigger boost in this cycle than any other House.
I dunno, even with all the boosts, Targ still has plenty of issues. I think I'd argue that they still aren't a top-3 house even after all the love they've gotten. I do love me some Meraxxes, it might be my favorite card from the entire cycle.

I think the baratheon horse is easily the worst horse out of the 6, compared to targeted kill, discard recursion, location removal, in hand discard and character bounce, i dont know, character specific discard recursion just seems like the weakest
I thought if I posted something obviously sarcastic I wouldn't have to use some arcane forum shorthand to mark it as sarcasm.
Targ has been sparkly this cycle but in all seriousness, where's the influence? Targ's influence options remain weak and this will continue to hold them back despite needing it more than any house (that includes you too, snake people).

you know ive been burned too many times by thinking someone was being sarcastic when they were dead serious, sorry about that

I've been complaining about that for a while... still only three in-House sources of influence... but they are about to get five new +1 Influence locations, lets just hope Targ has some use for the text boxes on those locations.

Haha, sorry man, the point is that sarcasm isn't always obvious to the other person. Even less so in print. Even less so than that when half of the readers don't have English as their primary language. Even less less so when you tell them that you're being serious.

There's plenty enough influence to power any targ deck:
Red Keep
Kingroad
Tent
Summer Sea
Fiefdoms
Advisor
And KoHH if you really want to go influence crazy.

I agree. I have nothing against any new cards that have Influence on them, but what would be expected of any new ones coming out?

Why is Martell deserving of Maester Kedry and Targeryen does not get a similar character? What about the other influence characters? Having in house options allows you to key effects of those cards. Reducers in particular are helpful.
Or how about we compare it to Lannister's gold treatment?
If Targ is the attachment house wouldn't it be reasonable to give them attachments that can generate influence?
There's a very limited selection of Martel cards that have influence cost and are worth the effort of playing them so putting full influence engine in Martel deck would be not worth it.
And well Advisor is almost like Targ only since he makes no sense in other houses

I've just wanted one or two more cheap sources of Influence. Red Keep, Kingsroad Fiefdom and Advisor are all "expensive" sources; I realize you can use Shadow Seer and At the Gates to "reduce" them, but that involves using precious space that I might want to use for something else. And I don't really think KotHH is a very reliable Targ build right now. I'll be really happy with the six new locations from the next cycle, Braavos is obviously very helpful.

Shivering Sea? (No idea why people always forget that it exists.)
Maybe 'cheap' isn't quite the word that he meant, but 'efficient'- although his comment that he will accept the new unique 1-cost 1-influence cards tells me that perhaps I am wrong.
For me though, I'd like to see something that was 2 influence on 1 card that gave some benefit other than initiative.
Altrough i can share the sentiment of bigger choice being nice I think they shouldn't be cheaper - after all they are transferable to gold at 1:1 ratio when you use ambush and you get element of suprise to your benefit throwing enemy calculation off balance.

Generally useless aside from the one Influence; if it discounted by two I would consider it. I'd like to see something like this or this , but like I said, I really appreciate the new ones that are coming.

True, but that also require extra cards in a House that doesn't draw particularly well in the first place.
Oh man, I think I'm in love with Mystique of the East.

***EDIT: Look what happens when I open a response before going to sleep, and only finishing the reply in the morning. :/ ***
I think this is the point. The few Martell effects that are only 1 influence don't get played often (Vaith, Prince's Wrath, Viper's Eyes) and yet they have 2 characters with 1 influence. I don't see most people playing the Paramour or Tower Guard to kneel more than one of them. I think Targ could use something like
Mystique of the East
, and perhaps the attachment equivalent of Refurbished Hulk. (Something that reduces attachments by two, to make things like Shade of the Evening more playable, _not_ the
Qartheen Trader's Guild
. The whole "Ignore all gold penalties" was a little too strong.
A Refurbished Hulk for attachments would be awesome. Maybe it could be like True-Queen's Harbinger, and work both on marshaling and ambushing attachments. It wouldn't necessarily solve all of Targ's influence problems, but it would obviously help greatly on Flame Kissed, which I have to imagine is probably the most played Ambush card, and might make the other Ambush attachments be more desirable. Plus, it might get them to design more and better Ambush attachments.
I use Kingsroad Fiefdoms for influence in my Targ decks. I think it's much better than it was, now that Search and Detain is in the environment.
Targ having access to Jorah and Daario makes me want to go second a few rounds as well, especially VS Lannister.
