Why is Myrcella named Lannister on her cards but is named Baratheon in the book? (or at least the appendix to dance) All Joffrey and Tommen Cards are Baratheon and all other girl children I could think of are all paternally named (Sansa and Arya are all Stark and not Tully)
Myrcella Lannister
Yeah I don't really know why. I think it might have something to do with the Arianne plot, but don't remember offhand. I think part of the Laws of Dorne required her to use her Mother's name.
The reason has nothing to do with some hidden justification. The game designers and editors screwed up.
When she was originally created in card form - many years ago for the CCG - the game designers and editors unthinkingly named her "Lannister," because of the "actual" Westeros situation instead of the "legal" Westeros situation that names her character "Myrcella Baratheon" (trying not to drop too many spoilers here). Effectively, they weren't paying attention and named the character with the yellow card background "Lannister." It was a huge "oops" that has more or less had to be perpetuated because of the way unique cards work in the game.
They made a mistake with her that they didn't make with her brothers. Plain and simple.
Well I stand corrected! Probably more hilarious this way though.

And they didn't correct something that must have been an annoyance with the move to LCG? Heh.
Well, we know both her parents are Lannisters, soooo...
That could also explain why we have "calvary" in the game also!
