is the abbility of "mutual enemies" , "mutual blackmail" , or "mutual cause" plot cards playable in joust format where there is only one opponent

As is stated clearly on the cards, their effects do not work in joust games, because the play restrictions are not met. In a joust game you only have one opponent, and the when revealed effects of the "Mutual..." plots only initiate if you have more than one opponent.

You can use the plot cards in joust, though, you just don't resolve the when revealed-effects. I've seen Mutual Cause used for the stats in competitive joust decks.
