Just clarifying.....

Called to Court: " Intrigue Gambit . When revealed, each player may put an in-House character of printed cost 3 or lower into play from his or her hand. Each players must choose 1 character he or she controls and return it to its owner's hand, if able."

Does the character returned to hand have to be one that was on the table before the Plot was revealed or can you return the same character to hand that you put into play initially?

I'm not an expert, but i've asked it before, so I'm quite sure: it can be the same Char you've put in play and,in particular, it must be the same to return to hand if it's your only in play.
