Solitaire?

I always play at least 4 even when I solo. it is also a good mid-ground number for the leagues as some scenarios seem to punish the 1-2 investigator teams and others punish the 7-8. Plus, the game hits its sweet spot at 4."

Thanks, I'll try that!

EDIT: Ooops.. I think I messed up the quote while editing... sorpresa.gif I have no clue how to get it back now...

Solo with 4 investigators FTW!

In fact not only does it work fine, but I would recommend playing solo to master how the game works before introducing other people.

That's a really cool variant (much more lovecraftian in spirit—truely solitary), now I need to find myself an eight sided die :'D

You don't have a D8????????????????????????? What kind of a gamer are you? Poser lengua.gif !

Wouldn't a D4 be more convenient? gui%C3%B1o.gif

*: and a d12 when you need multiples of 3

I think it would be possible but you would need a quick means of transport, making sure you can quickly move from one place to the other.

Another problem is when closing a portal you need atleast two turns, during those turn possibly two others open up on you.

Never tried it, not going to, seems to frustrating...

Tried a one-investigator game only once, in which it quickly became apparent to me that luck was much more of a factor than in a 3-4 person game, simply because the risks are more spread out as you increase the number of investigators.

I agree with everyone who's been saying that four is a good number to use, but I still am not a great fan of controlling four investigators by myself, as it becomes a lot of information to deal with.

I'm not a gamer, I'm a reader and an ex-gamer (although I still game a bit on the side). But most of my games were digital, or card. Besides, you're one to talk, you don't even have Kingsport Horror ;'D

@Maxime

It depends on if you're selecting randomly or with precision. If you're selecting with precision, you might be able to pull it off with two investigators. If random, go for three or four.
