More cards than rooms in Blood Ties?

By Argon, in Mansions of Madness

I'm setting up Blood Ties, and the last step is to put an unused card in each empty room. Well, I have 6 unused cards and only 3 empty rooms (Guest bedroom, Entryway, Cave 2).

Did I do something stupid? I don't see anything out there about other people having the same problem, but I was very careful!

Cheers

I don't recall having extra cards leftover, so I'm guessing maybe you overlooked the "outdoor rooms", some of the outdoor tiles got a fixed card, some don't, but they still count as "rooms" (each one with a specific tile title like Front Path, Front Yard, etc.).

Me neither. Although it is not too farfetched to consider the complete open space as one huge room, you really need to keep in mind that each tile is considered being a "valid" room of its own.

[at]OP: This happened to me twice during the setup of the game that I confused the right order of the items and rooms; that is why I suggest you should thoroughly double-check, whether you placed all the items and clues according to the setup-plan of the Keeper's Handbook. ;)

All the best!

Oh, yes, indeed: there are exactly 3 outdoor spaces, which are being counted as rooms. Many thanx!
