Custom Chapters

PS: Why the hell do GW use the term "legion" in the Chapter names? I can understand that some narcissistic Chaos leader would name his warband as a legion, but Imperial Space Marines? I don't like that part at all, but maybe that's just me.

Hold over from the Horus Heresy when the Legion was the standard size of Space Marine units. Now I guess it means 1,000 that fight like 10,000.

Yes I know it was used during the Horus Heresy. But since it was 10 000 years ago the loyalist legions were disbanded and information isn't all that much spread around, why is the term even considered? I think that I might have to change the names for the Chapters than uses the "legion" term.
