About expansions

By Chagidiel, in WFRP Rules Questions

Hello everyone.

I just bought the core box set, playtested the game and love it. Im thinking about buying th Adventurers Toolkit, Gamemasters Toolkit, and all three Vaults. Is the vaults a good adition to the corebox? I just cant seem to find a good answer for that anywhere or they more for the Guide books for people who wants to implement the bits? I just want more stand ups, more bits and updated cards.

The creature vault could be handy. It has lots of creature cards and standups.

Other than that, it's mostly doubble up of stuff you allready get in the proper boxes.

Core box set allready has everythink that players vault contains, they only sell it for those who dont wanna buy the core set and they bought he players guide book.

Creatures guide and creatures vault are very good expantions.

Gamemasters guide and vault they are not really good I wouldnt buy those.

Adventurers toolkit is also a very good expantion one of the best.

I would suggest to buy the Winds of magic expantion. It has many new actions for mages from all the 8 colleges, rank 3 spells and more, Corruption/Mutation rules, and the Creatures of Tzeentch.

OR the signs of faith expantion. Here you can find blessings from every faith, rank 3 blessings, Disease rulees and the Creatures of Nurgle.

Winds of magic and Signs of faith are the most important expantions for me

thanks for the answers.

To sum it up, from my experience:

Core Box - This is where you start.

Adventurers Toolkit - Good addition to round out the Core Box

Winds Of Magic, Omens Of War, Signs Of Faith and Lure Of Power - Great additions that give depth to the system and setting.

Black Fire Pass - Great if you're playing dwarfs. Not much usable if you're not.

Gathering Storm, Edge of Night, Witches Song - Ok adventures. Some extra talents, actions and careers (witch and warlock).

Creature Vault - Good if you like to use the creature cards and standups.

The rest of Tomes and Vaults - Nothing you won't get in the other boxes.

I realized I forgot one:

Game Master's Toolkit - There's nothing wrong with this, but it's a bit thin in content and you're left with the feeling "Why wasn't this just included in the core box?"
