RTL Lieutenants

By Teddles, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi just quick question about lieutenants.

If you have two lieutenants in one city do their raising tokens stack?

So that you can raise a city in half the time?

And if so do you get one raising roll for each lieutenant?

Probably haven't explained properly, but hopefuly people will understand.

I got it.

1. Yes. According to the rules, under The Game Week: Overlord Actions:

Besiege a City: If the lieutenant begins his turn in a city,
he can besiege it. If he does, the overlord places a siege
token on that city’s space, as long as it currently has fewer
siege tokens than the city’s Defense rating. (If it currently
has siege tokens equal to the city’s Defense rating, the
overlord does not add additional siege tokens.)

So you will get it done in less time, but also draw more attention to the poor town.

2. No, you still only get one roll per week. But, on the bright side, they have to fight off both of your Lt.s, giving you one more chance at that roll.

Thanks for that.

Now for another question involving the liuetenants, when you have two in the one area ie: city, and the party enters the same area, do the party have to attack the lieutenant/s, and if they do attack do they fight both at the same time?

Parties never HAVE to fight the Lieutenants, they can ignore them until your turn comes around and you decide to attack them instead.

But, no... they would be resolved as two completely seperate encounters. The side that's attacking chooses which to fight.

Note you can't attack them if you add a siege token that turn, and they can't attack you if they do a "train" that turn. Additionally, on a turn they move if they decide to attack your Lts and there are two of them, they can do one, the other, or both in the same turn. If they fight both, it's two seperate encounters, which is two seperate chances for you to gain some conquest and flee or beat them down entirely. Unfortunately, Lts can't reinforce encounters they aren't a part of, so their card bonuses do not stack.

Thanks again for that.

My group of heroes are now argueing with me over that fact i have two LTs in one place, and as far as they are concerned it's not allowed.

*Wanders off to slap some heroes around a bit* :)

Completely legal. I've had 4 in the same place. Ask them to show you where in the rulebook it says you can't do that.

Remember that due to rules the Ltd and Heroes can attack each other only if they finish their move on the same place as their enemy. The question is : Can Ltd and Heroes do not move in there move action, because in rulebook there is writen that the move is when u move from start location to another one along the trail. When heroes buys The staff of the Wild they have two movement point so they can leave place they share with Ltd and back while Ltd(except one) have only one move point so he cant attack hereos if he starts his turn on the same place as heroes.
