In my quest to make our gaming table a bit more atmospheric, I want to print out the Calixis and Kronus maps and age the paper a bit so that they look a bit mor '40k' and simply put them on the table. But the only Koronus map I can find is the coloured one. Does anyone know where I can get the black and white one from inside the book cover?
Koronus Map
1 - Put colored map in gimp or mspaint.
2- Put grey scale (black and white)
3- invert gamma (makes blak white and white black)
4- Profit.
I'd like to see this too, the map with the equivalent of 'here be dragons' is really thematic.
Nice idea, but the coloured map is a whole different beast than the archaic one. Different design, layout and content.
If you (or someone else) have the PDF you could probably copy-paste the images of the pages out of the PDF and into Gimp/Photoshop. It'll need a bit of stitching and polishing but it should make a useable map.
The PDF does not have the map in question alas.
Sign me up, I wan't that map as something you can download on this site. How hard can it be? Listen to your paying customers FFG!
I copied the map on a A3 copier, but I have not tried to age it.
One way is the old teabag solution. Make yourself a nice cup of tea, using a teabag rather than some other solution and after you have drunk your tea, take the now clilled bag and dap it on a piece of paper - preferably slightly heavier paper (90-100 g/m^2). This way the paper will gain a aged/yellowed look. You can copy/print the map to the paper after it has dried.
It ought to work, but finding a copystore that will allow you to use your artificially aged paper is the real challenge.
Have fun and good luck.
