Hi everyone, this is my first post. Sorry if this question has been answered before, I don't seem able to "Search the forums" - the button doesn't respond.

A player wins this story and executes it:

"Each player searches his deck for one character card and one non-Day or non-Night support card and puts them into play. Then each player shuffles his deck."

An opponent has no support cards left in his deck. Can he still put a character into play? Or is this one of those "all or nothing" situations?

Yes, you can do that. The key words are things like "then" (you have to do the first thing before you can do the second thing), or "choose" or "target"... Here you search your deck for two different things and put them in play. You can do that the best you can because you didn't have to select them first or anything like that. If it had said something like "Search your deck for 2 cards. Then put those 2 cards into play." you would have to get both of them.
