Sad about the seemingly reduced announcements for Dark Heresy. Are we going to get a second edition or is DH on the back burner?
All's gone quiet.... Dark heresy 2 or forgotten about?
Arn't we waiting for "Only War" already? I doubt DH's been forgotten, its probably just that with so many lines going on and DH already having several supplements released, it might not stand first in line right now. I mean Black Crusade was released in september or something and the first supplement came in february. Sometimes the frontline is just silent for a while.
Why announce things that have already been announced? As Gurkhal, we're still waiting for Only War.
It's understandable that they're behind schedule with Only War but it's still disappointing.
Also, Dark Heresy es the oldest 40k gameline and has more supplements that any other line, so it's understandable that FFG wants to invest its resources into the other lines rather than DH.
Honestly, all the lines have slowed down considerably. Look how long it took to even announce the first Black Crusade supplement (that's not an adventure!), RT and DW both had their first big supp out before Christmas. It'll surprise me a bit if Tome of Fate lands by Easter.
They just seem to be posting previews and announcements WAY less in general. Gone are the days of 3-5 preview posts for any new product.
It's funny .. nowhere on these here boards has there been any suggestion, hint or other nudge from FFG about a second edition or rules overhaul for Dark Heresy, but the buzz is all around ![]()
I keep reading about it and people keep talking about it. It's in the air, so to speak. So I hope FFG catches on and acknowledges the time is ripe!
and now it turns out that Only War is an entirely new Core Rule System...
Yup... so I am now actually a bit worried for Dark Heresy.
i hope that if they do make DH2.0, it doesn't invalidate all of the other supplements, i mean, that's the big slap in the face. but then again the last errata on the core rules was released in early 09 so maybe its as perfect as its going to get,
