It was a good first episode. One thing one you mentioned was you thought there would be a lot of Ghaston Grey being played at the tournament so you tweeked your deck to deal with it. I would really like what those tweeks were. I think that could help a lot of the intermediate level players by hearing what specific tweeks people make to deal with known power cards or themes. I look forward to episode 2.
Summer is Coming! - A new Podcast from the SoCal Meta
I was really impressed with the tempo and segmenting of the podcast. I have listened to the other podcasts, and they suffer from a lack of focus. They are literally all over the place and often fail to discuss the game at all for long periods of the cast. This was interesting and informative the entire time. My favorite of the 3 to choose from. You guys just need better audio quality. GREAT FIRST SHOW!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, Tiny and I live about 2.5 hrs (one way) apart, so our recordings will almost always be of similar quality to that- we use Skype and GarageBand. The one thing about this episode is that it was recorded in two parts, so some of the sound editing is a little uneven, and that should change with future episodes. But unless we manage to be in the same place and have stuff to record, or I am able to take an 'advanced GarageBand' course and figure out how to improve it, I doubt that it will change much unfortunately.
Good to see you are on Card Game DB now. Much easier to download that way. Hopefully iTunes soon so I can get it on my iPod touch easier. Nicely done first episode.
