5 in CA (with 1 in OR). 5 on east coast. 6 in mid-west. 1 in southwest(?!) What, no TX players out there?

5 Regionals in CA (6 on the West Coast) is amazing. We have never had that level of interest in the game from a major tournament perspective out here. There were a few years when KublaCon was the only West Coast Regional. This is really exciting for us out here. I was always a bit jealous of the Midwest and East Coast players that could easily commute to 2-3 Regionals. No longer!

I think the SF regional is in for a surprise!

EEERRRRGHHH!

The most regionals in the US ever, and yet I can only make one!

Yes, this is a whiney post, no I make no apologies!

First, Iowa and Missouri were rewarded regionals for the exact same weekend. This is really too bad because it will lower attendance at both venues.

I would have tried to go to regionals in Tulsa, Colorado, MN and Nebraska (Willycon is not quite a regional), but unfortunately they ALL fall on weekends I have my kids. Oh well, such is life.

I know no one is going to cry a tear for me, but since I won't be touring the states this year during regional season, I guess that means I'm open for OCTGN testing. If you live in another area and need some practice games, hit me up!

Well, it probably won't help, but I do feel for you. I don't know yet how many tournament I'll make this year, but it will sure as hell be a lot fewer than I'd like to. But still, having family has its upsides too, right? Right?

If it weren't for the different timezones thingy, I'd take you up on the OCTGN offer. Well, maybe something can be worked out sometime.

Heh. I was wondering what happened to Benton's group in Tennessee until I figured out the typo on June 30.

It's pretty sad about the Iowa/MO overlap... Did FFG even ask for alternate dates for scheduling this year?

And I'd love to do Colorado if it was more Denver-ish... Durango is pretty, but far.

Kinda interesting that DC and NY both have one on June 9th. I know there is another date for a different NY as well, but would have liked to have a 3rd different date for such a close area to be able to choose the 1 or 2 that made the most sense.

There's also the NJ one. Rochester is too far for me, but for PA it might make sense to go there.

If you go to the NY one instead of the DC one ima tell everyone its cuz you were scared of a rematch!

Well I'd never back down from a challenge. If things work out and we can all get away from work that weekend, I think we will probably come down to DC. Had a ton of fun down there, it might sweeten the deal if you promise not to go back to the dark side with your greyjoy deck...(maesters.)

Plus if your close to NY you can bus to Ottawa for like 90 bucks. Come try and win a Canadian tournament. ;)

Dobbler i would be happy to play Octgn any night just send me a e-mail [email protected] have two tournament decks i would like to play test.

The Missouri Regional is looking to move to Memorial Day Weekend. They are talking with FFG.

This is too bad...we would've loved to get some lessons in Tulsa!

I won't be in Ottawa by the time of the Regional, so if I can figure out OCTGN after classes are over I'd love to test with both of you.

Sounds good Mathias ;)

You should really come out to one of the tournaments...another happening March 25th (you can use my cards to build a deck before)

Also the date for Ottawa has been fixed to the weekend of the 18-19th of May. Also we are only 4 hours away from one of the other NY events....road trip...

We'd welcome anyone who wants to come to Cincinnati. Details coming soon I hope, and hopefully we'll see a lot of new faces.
