In short, if I played dark prophecy, and revealed a card I named for Dragonstone Watchtower, would I get the power? its my opponent's card being revealed, but I am the one instigating it, so I don't think it would work. However I would like confirmation.

I think you're right. Dragonstone Watchtower demands that your opponent does the revealing, but with Dark Prophecy it is you that does the revealing.
