Give that a try...
=ROUNDDOWN((( Todays date - January 1st )*24+HOUR( current time ))/8,766;0)&".0"&MOD(YEAR( Todays date );1000)&".M03"
Or more usefully, download my little
Excel tool for working out these dates
Lovely! I was looking for something like this!

CEWL!! very nice, very usefull!!. I made some changes to it for my personal use, which only tracks 'start campaign time(40K)' 'time passed (Days & Hours)' and 'Current Campaign Time (40k)'. Adoptation of Darth Smeg's Excel Tool

I really like this version, although I have trouble understanding how to use it. Could you include an explanation of how to use it in the document?
Some things I spotted so far:
1- In the Passed to Days Convertor, if you put a Week or Year greater than 1 the Hour part of the conversion gives you a huge number. Example, "Weeks: 2" gives you "61 days, 1461 hours".
2- The red arrow in the "Tot. Time Passed" column doesn't say anything when you put the mouse over it.
This is an excelent tool, please keep improving it! =D
Thanks for the feedback. I had made a mistake. I've updated the sheet and added comments all over and a short intro.
Let me know if that helps.
Edit: just redownload the file from the same link
The comments are great, it really helps!
Bugs:
1- We sill have problems with the Months and Years calculation, depending on the number you enter it works great or doesnt.
For example:
Month 1:30 Days 10,5 Hours
Month 2:61 Days 1461 Hours
Month 3:91 Days 7,5 Hours
Month 4:122 Days 2922 Hours
Month 5:152 Days 4,5 Hours
It seems that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, depending on which number you enter.
Suggestion: ignore Hours from the calculation and only take days into account. 6 extra hours per year doesn't change much the numbers (or the GM can manually add the extra day every 4 years).
2- My nick is "Maese Mateo" not "Maese Mato" =P
And thanks again! And updated again
. keep m comming, by the time I actually need it it then will work
Seems to be working great this time. I made test for Months and Years from 1 to 12 and I didn't see any trouble..
Good to hear. I simplified most formulas so it's easier to keep track.
