Need some quick help. What does it say in Hero's call about what careers a halfling can take?
I recall something about human stuff and traits, but need some help for a player.
Thanks,

At 14:30 reckless dice #26 it is mentioned human availalbe, menial and/or rogue.
I've house ruled any human available that does not include arcane, priest, or religion traits.

If you feel RAW is too restrictive - might I atleast suggest also excluding careers with Noble - trait ? (btw. does Witch Hunters have the religion trait or are they merely 'fanatic' ? )
Or do you believe it to be appropriate to allow playing a Halfling Noble Lord, WIth Hunter or Knight of the Inner Circle?
Personally I would rather look at allowing halflings access to the bureaucrat careers ...and choice others such as Assassin (Advanced, Urban, Combat, Specialist), Vampire Hunter (As far as I remember, it doesnt actually require you to have gone through Witch Hunter does it?)
Halflings are allowed to be soldiers per Fantasy Battles, however no, I would not have Halfling Knights or Nobles. I'm pretty sure our player will have an interesting concept nonetheless. He drew Burgher and "choose one" for his two options. We didn't have the halfling rules, because although our Hero's Call was ordered, it has not even shipped yet (we're hoping for April).
How do the halflings in The Moot govern themselves. What is their administrator called? Obviously he's not a true noble to the humans..but could he be a noble to the halflings?

I think it works something like this: -
Each area in the Mootland has it own District Moot (like an open council meeting) which is headed up by a district Elder. Any adult halfling can speak at the district moots. These District Moots serve the governmental roll in the Mootland. I think this means that the Mootland is the only representative democracy in the old world. The Elders of the District Moots all gather at the general moot where the elect an Elder of the Halfling Moot. This Elder effectively acts as an Elector Count. I am not sure if they get the full title, I believe they are "Members of the Elector Council".
Halfling Nobles or Knights would not probably be well received in humankind (and would get some hefty penalties to try to influence 'polite' society), but I wouldn't stress it. Why a halfling could be a pit-fighter...I'm imagining that scene from Ace Ventura Pet Detective 2 when he fights the little guy..the 'biter.'

I think it got described that any career that Humans and Dwarves can take is a halfling career. So I assume it's only if BOTH can take it...
