Dark Eldar Career Path

Also, come to think of it, I think there might be some stats for Dark Eldar (and regular Eldar) ships on Dark Reign. While they are only statblocks intended for use as NPC''s (Non-Player Ships►), they''d be a good place to start extrapolating from, in regards to making ships for playable characters.

Well, since I wrote up some Dark Eldar ship rules for Dark Reign, back when I spent a lot of my time there, yea, there should be lengua.gif

Should be interesting - I really like the Dark Eldar since the last codex, it added a lot of depth to the race.

Also, glad to be back from a long hiatus! gran_risa.gif Having a job away from home from most of the week means my weekends are then pretty packed, so posting here took a back seat preocupado.gif

That forum sometimes moves quite slowly. I'm still working on my own set of rules for playing a Dark Eldar character, with regular balancing at low levels (most of my campaigns tend to be low level).

I've been wondering about Dark Eldar ships. The older set of rules was for Battlefleet Gothic, and for poorly fluffed Dark Eldar also. I'd probably be a little more original if I was writing ship rules. I haven't really played that many space battles in Rogue Trader. I do have rules for weapons that can do point damage to 40k ships, which is somewhat impressive on that scale.

I would like to see more fluff on the beasts/charges of the beastmasters, as well as certain xenos (Sslyth, Medusae and the Ur-ghuls) within the Soul Reaver book - if possible.

Proabably asking for too much for rules to play one of the Haemonculus or the Incubi - but maybe it would be possible to have special background/career options for Wyches/Scourges/Hellions (though Hellions would probably just be a variant of the kabalite with drugs and Pilot/Operate (personal) skill).

Should be interesting to see the stats of the Dark Eldar. Would also like to see a possible mini-armoury full of Dark Eldar weapons and gear. As for if they should be used or not, it depends on what your Dynasty does. A Dark Eldar would be ok in our game, because we capture pirates so we can just have the Dark Eldar torture them. Although, our vessel was paid for by the Inquasitions so…hmm

There are Dark Eldar stats in teh Dark Heresy supplement "Purge The Unclean" (Warriors, A Haemonculus, Beast Master and Warp Beasts) and lots of additional Dark Eldar gear in "Hostile Aquisitions"

It should be pointed out that the older DE stuff from DH was written long before their redesign, so it's not exactly current.

I realize that there are plenty of Dark Eldar weapons and gear lying around in other books. The thing is, is I am an Aquasition junkie. I just want more stuff to choose from since all I ever roll for now is organgrinder rounds or a conversion field. Does that mean that they will add a small armoury, probably not. But I wont complain if they do

Well I'm sure (and hoping) that the book will include new weapons, but we can also be sure that we'll get the basic compliment of DE weapons that have already been published for RT. I know I think it would be insane to force people to comb through Into the Storm or Hostile Acquisitions for rules.

I'm wondering what advanced specialties there will be. Wych or Reaver are both possibilities (probably not both). Trueblood could either be a specialty for talent. Wrack would be a big maybe, while Homonculus.. it'd be a cool option, but it doesn't really work with the fluff.

I think we can assume that they'll have as much material as the Orks or Kroot did. And most likely more, since they have a whole book to work with, and the Dark Eldar being a big part of the book, they'll really need to go beyond, both with crunch and fluff.
