Have been reading this and now in a dispute with my friend.

He is stating that plot ccards WITHOUT a when revealed are always resolved prior to WHEN REVEALED plot cards irrespective of who the first player is and if you had two players (joust) with a plot card which has WHEN REVEALED in play THEN the first player can choose who goes first.

Is this correct, i have always assumed when revealed cards get shown first ?

Plot cards that have a constant effect like Fortified Position, take effect immediately. So let's say you played Fortified Position and your opponent played Valar Morghulis. You would not be able to use Maester Aemon to save anyone because he would be blanked immediately before Valar was triggered.

It helps if you think of Plots as working like Passive Abilities, which they do.

"When Revealed" Plots then have a trigger for their Passive Abilities, while ones that lack that phrase do not.

That ends up meaning that when the "When Revealed" effect goes off, the other effect is already there, having taken effect as soon as the card was flipped face up.
