Well, one the top 10 most-requested packs is a reality, folks. You don't have to buy multiple Cerberus to have lots of buildings, because the Building Accessory Pack is coming!
Well done FFG and DT.

It's a cool idea and pack but I hope we'll see more variety in the buildings. It's a really cool start though.
I'd like to see ruins, different kind of walls and maybe some accessories like fences and sandbags.
But i'll probably buy a pack to add more buildings in our maps.
Cool stuff FFG and DT!
Yeah, some architectural variation would be cool. But I dearly hope that this pack comes with floor tiles that are the right size!

Oh so true! The future still looks really cool for DT. Cool stuff coming out!
Should see them in the UK about this time next year. We still haven't had Op Cerebus yet!
Nguyen pointed something out, though.
- It seems this set comes with two building levels, and it will cost $30, that's $15 per level.
- Cerberus comes with 3 levels, and it costs $45.
At $15 per level, that means Cerberus costs the same as this pack, but you also get 2 heroes, the campaign book and a smoke mortar token. So why would you buy this pack instead of buying another Cerberus, which you can try and get some money back on by selling the heroes? Unless you REALLY only want to buy 2 levels instead of 3.
Not worth it, think i'll give these a miss and stick with my current terrain.
Can't blame you. If the Hero Pack with 3 heroes costs $20, and Cerberus with 2 heroes and 3 building levels costs $45, mathematically, this 2-level pack should cost $22.
Do I smell a GW in the making????????????????? First it was 20 man IG boxs then they were cut to 10 for about the same price. All to familiar.
30 bucks...hmmm at that price there's big chances i'll pass. We'll see though, since price is only speculation for now.
I'm ok with $30. True, I can buy Cerberus for about the same price ratio, but then id have to either sell or trash what else comes in Cerberus, so it's worth it to me anyway just to get a building in a box for roughly the same price. Would maybe a $24.99 price point be a little smarter? Probably. But comparatively to a lot of other systems, we still get great deals on our mini's (speaking purely domestically anyway).
Yeah, I'm just saying it doesn't make much sense in relation to the cost of the Cerberus expansion. $24,95 would be a much more logical fit, just so you'd know you're paying less per floor than you'd pay with Cerberus.

Yeah but it'd still has it's value to those with money and that don't care to sell extra figures. FFG saw that I guess
Still, we'll just have to see what the official price is for this building and judge from there.
But we do know, FFG is listing it at $29.95

Oh my bad on this. $30 is a little steep for this imo...but my FLGS had many packs and expansions for a little less than the "MSRP". I'lll look into it but this building expansion might be appealing for me since here in Quebec City there's not much of a DT market for now. I'm trying to spread the work about this game but people are more attracted in wood sheeps than plastic soldiers...
Sad but true...
Pretty cool but a bit of a swing and a miss price-wise.
I would've liked to see some kind of terrain pack which included the buildings and threw in two of these.
I don't like the way it's all going. We are getting more and more expensive stuff.. At some point i will have to stop buing those if the prices coninue to get higher. Costs of SSU soldiers compared to our old minis are already a ripoff
Another thing to consider would be if the new "tenement" pack contained a spare wall, to replace the door.
In other words, could you buy three tenement packs and choose to build two three-storey buildings, or would you have too many door pieces?
(Cerberus has a spare wall, so you can build the three storey building or two separate buildings.)
Buildings looks nice but who needs them to have a good fun with the game?
Especially if the price will kill you (or your pocket).
With some simple modeling talents anyone can make decent scenery with gator board and some train scenery for a cheaper price than anything on the market. I also used sintra a type of plastic sheet good often thrown out by sign shops that offer great scap for making buildings. Its tougher to cut but again can be used to make cheap scenery. The pics below were a small board I made for an old game called Battlefield evolution. I used 1/8" thick MDF for a 12" sqr base and then 1/8" thick gator board for the buildings and some train gravel. It was easy to do, quick to make and looks descent for game play.
The price is certainly not excessive when compared to whats on the market. IMO, FFG will make more money selling these sets to non Dust players though. I've had tons of comments about the buildings when I go to my weekly game night. They would work great for games like 40k or Infinity, and the price is inline or better than competing terrain products of similar size and utility.

Wow awesome stuff!
Thanks for the compliment. Like I said its easy to make nice scenery with some cheaper materials.
The pricing is even worse in the UK £32 for Cerberus and £25 for the expansion.
Any words on a Premium version for the building Pack?
