Non unique characters

By Daenarys, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I thought i had this cleared and was simple but i am currently disputing non unique charcters with my friend.

He is stating that he could have 3 non unique characters in his hand and then subsequently play one of the cards from his hand and put into play. If that charcter then gets killed he is stating that he can play this card again as it is a non unique character, is this correct, ?

Secondly with non unique characters could you in theory have 3 identical cards in your hand and play all three cards durting the round and thus have three identical non unique cards in play ?

Thanks and sorry for the questions today, just wanting to start a game but get these clarified beforehand :)

That is correct. Only Unique characters cannot be played if there is a copy of them in the dead pile already.

There is no limit to the number of copies of a non-unique card you can have in play (except for things like how many you can put in a deck).

So yes, if you have the gold to pay for them (and since they are not duplicates, you do have to pay for each of them), you could play all three at once.

AWESOME

Really really appreciate your responses to my questions today . Just about to start a game now.

Thanks again for the speed as well.
