Looking for expanded material

By ChaosLegionaire, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

I was just wondering if there were any novels that take place in the Anima universe? Or things that are close that would make for good insperation.

Secondly, but a little less related is does any one know of campaigns for Anima other then the one in the Game Master's guide?

I believe there are a few fan-made campaigns on the Spanish forum...but as you can easily guess, they are in spanish.

You find tons of fluff and suggestion for campaigns in Gaia and some in Those Who Walked Amongst Us.

I believe there's some "fluff" about Anima RPG in the Miniature Game rulebook, but sincerely I couldn't spare the money to buy it, for now.

I don't think there are novels set in Anima universe at the moment (except for the fanfiction Xamusel is currently writing, of course, which is a very interesting crossover between anima and other "worlds"), but there is a Wiiware game named "Anima: Ark of Sinners", which should have some story in it, I guess.

Anima Studios on the other forum has said that novels are in the planning, but have not come into being as of yet. I don't know if they've even been written, but he has mentioned that novels are planned.

Ark of Sinners concerns itself mostly with a city basically outside of time, which Celia finds herself in. It didn't shed a lot of info on the world, but did give an interesting setting to use for a game. I got up to the final boss, and then got pulled away, so haven't finished to find out what the finale is yet.

The miniature game rulebook has write ups for quite a few of the NPC's, and in it mentions lots of background material not covered elsewhere. It even gives some big names levels and classes for the RPG, but that's it, no stats or anything. Also, note that all the levels presented are not figured with adjustment for race or what-not, to my understanding.

Hope that helps a bit.

the last boss was harsh when i played it on zen =(

@ Arikail: could you write us the levels-classes of characters described in the Anima Tactics rulebook, that would be really sweet, since I'm rolling all NPCs described in Gaia and would like to add the NPCs in Anima Tactics too.

@ Rybras: since you played the whole game, when you have time I'd like you to post (in an apposite topic with big "SPOILER" banner on it), a detailed resume of the story in Arc of Sinners...or you can send me by e-mail. I can't connect my wii, hence I cannot buy Wiiware and play the game, but I'm really interested in the story and would love to know it.

I think, a "spoilered" thread would be the best, because, I would like to read it to (and I don't have a Wii and I think I will not purchase one in the near future).

So long,

Sure, I should be able to do that. I don't have books at work, so it will be a bit later today, hopefully.

So long,

If it's not just me who's Interested, then definitely a spoilered thread would be perfect source material for the whole community, so I agree with you!

It's been a short while since i played and my memory is far from good enough to remember. I'll post what i remember and try to find time to play through it again((given my rl game sessions, 3 per week and Mass Effect 3 which came out today))

I got the BBEG at the end! Finally!!! Nasty, nasty, Nasteeee. I don't think I could do it again. I feel like Rip Van Winkle, I must have aged a hundred years while playing that game, it took me long enough. I'm running out to get some Ben Gay for gamers thumb. It feels good to be done, though. happy.gif
