Yeah we are hoping to do this every weekend or every other weekend. All videos are saved and can be viewed at the above link. So the final game that Alan and Rachel played crashed again. Alan decided to concede like the gentleman he is! Thanks for letting us all get some sleep Alan! haha So the finals will be next weekend at some point, I'll post the exact time later, and will be Rick's Martell Maesters vs Rachel's Martell Summer. It should be a VERY interesting match.

I concur, this was entertaining as heck. Staton did a fantastic job commentating. Very natural. I'd like to see the commentators get defined roles for future broadcasts though. Have one person be the play-by-play and the others be color guys discussing strategy and what the players might have been thinking when making each move. That way things get a bit less jumbled.

Hmmm hadn't thought of that. Might experiment with that a bit next sunday. It looks like the Finals won't be able to be played until 3/18 so probably going to do third place game next sunday.

Man, I have 8 resource locations! Most people play like 9 right? And I have Iron Lore to replay Seas. But if was to play again I would add some more, and some more draw. Then switch to Martell House, and swap Iron Lore for Cyvasse, Fear of Winter for Regroup, and fit in VB as the restricted. Then I would switch all my greyjoy cards for martell cards. I would keep Treaty with the South though, because if Martell is awesome Martell/Treaty with Martell should be even better.

Lol! It was still a very well played match! I think you probably did need more seas, imo. Or maybe something extra. Maybe you just had bad draws. You seemed to NEVER get any locations. I think your deck does match up pretty well against martell, but Rachel getting that Arianne through on power really seemed to hurt you. Still very well done and congrats on making top 4!

From my experience I think 10-12 resource cards seems to be the norm.

Would be great if we could add are thinking to the cast some how. When you comment on stuff like:

Why did Darknoj attack mill when he could do int....because i would have put a black iron link on my maester to let me remove the int icon from his only soon to be standing character letting me get two attacks through and forcing him to only have a power attacks.

Winds of Winter was a pretty great choice for Rachel, it stopped me from playing the White Raven a couple of times. Also, the feed seems to cut out just before I race to 14 power and then get a fatal octgn error (it gave me error code 5432: Martell Player at Risk of Losing). I was also was about to lose two of my power with Arys Oakheart bounced to hand and I would have had to Valar next turn against Rachel's hand of a gajillion cards, but still. It was the closest I had come to a win.

Yes, I did just spend 3 hours watching a video of myself playing cards.

By the way Staton i would be happy to tap a few games while going through my though process...if another player would do the same i could edit the videos so that we could get each players views on moves etc....Could be intresting...

I was extremely impressed with the commentary of the games, I just watched the matches between Rach and Alan. I was amazed at how few mistakes there were, especially given the fact that the last game was being played at 11pm for Rach and 4am(I think) for Alan. A couple of notes to people who are watching, Rachel gets the ~privlage, to play against first turn Fear of Winter/Retaliation in about 90% of her games, we play about 3-4 times a week and I normally play my stark siege deck against her, since it is one of the few, non winter, non martell decks that can hold its own against Martell/Summer. A few times in the earlier games dissension was mentioned, and personally I love the card, especially after the lannister box, its often that a Lannister has a 3-4 cost ally, or martell has 2 refugees. The other side of the coin is greyjoy and stark often have few key allies, and generally only their in house refugee making the card not as good, especially when it is competing with events like Cyvasse, HCiT, paper shield, and Viper's Rage.

Rachel did win the melee at DC, and came in third place in the joust. Honestly might have won the joust, but she was paired up against me in the semi finals, and I had a 5 card setup+frozen solid in hand to combat her 6 card setup with GG. She likely would have had a better chance against the lannister PBtT than I did, losing my entire hand to intrigue claim first turn.

I would also like to say the quality of the picture and sound of the game between Rachel and Alan completely blows away the quality of the game between Rick and Darknoj.

Yeah I was just shocked at how few mistakes were made! Both players were really bringing their A game, which is why the game was so close in my opinion! Yeah sorry about the video/audio quality of the first game between Rick/Darknoj. I had forgot to factor in the time difference so thought I had an hour to set everything up, but didn't. So we just kinda had to jump into the recording without being able to get everything correct. I guess I probably should've been more prepared, but that's just my laziness showing through I guess.

Well shoot. Man I really wish we had time to get everything ready. Sorry everyone for dropping the ball on that recording. All future recordings should be far less problematic.

Do we have an official announcement yet that the third place game will be played this weekend and when? I wouldn't mind watching it live to get a feel for it. Seems like an awesome idea, I really enjoyed watching the replay and listening to everyone, though I can see Darknoj's point about sometimes the you guys question things and its actually something that you are missing instead of the players.

Yeah we aren't going to get everything correct, we're not perfect. lol That's why you guys can chat with us and tell us when we're wrong! lol But it will be around 7:30 pm this Sunday.

Yes we play Sunday and we are both not watching the others video...so that the decks will be a suprise...i hope no more GG.

lol nah its alright. It will be Shives and me playing. So it will be less commentating and a bit more decision discussing. Why we did something, what could we have done differently, etc.
