Hi,
Here's an item I thought I'd share with you that I created for my campaign.
Anduri's Telescope of Warp Viewing
In the shape of an old fashioned and brass polished telescope, its outward appearance is nothing extraordinary as it sits on its tripod. A cloth bag is placed on the front end of the telescope whilst not in use.
However the telescope is daemon powered and if the user looks through the eyepiece whilst wishing in his mind what to view, there is a 30% chance to see this. This wish needs to be quite specific and the user must have some knowledge of the event, person, place. This is adjusted by warp storms, distance and the vagaries of fate to some extent. In addition, the perspective or even time* of the event cannot always be chosen, for the Daemon inside may wish the trick the user to its own purposes. Finally, places protected by warp shields and the like are clouded or totally obscured (i.e. the GM ultimately decides what can be seen).
Using Anduri's Telescope of Warp Viewing has its dangers. A person using the telescope must pass an Easy (+10) Willpower Test for each minute of viewing or suffers a Corruption Point.
If a user simply uses the telescope without wishing, they look into the raw Warp and suffer 5+d5 Corruption Points. If for whatever reason a person looks into the wrong end of the telescope, they are devoured by the Daemon inside the telescope, leaving an empty and dishevelled corpse.
*What the user sees is subject to time; it could be the present, past or future.
