I wonder if the Vampire Hunter can also replace a card if she can't draw cards on a draw card space, because there is already a card on it's space.preocupado.gif

In other words, can the Vampire Hunter only use her investigate ability, if she has draw a card?

Sure, she can. She can use her ability after the encounter, when a card remains on her space. No matter if she was the one who drawn it, or went to the space with it.

I was thinking about this trick.

If she draw a card on a draw 1 card space, she can ditch a object, to replace that card, to draw another adventure card lengua.gif

Hmm... I think I would allow this trick. Basically I would even went further. Normally encounter the space, THEN ditch an object, discard it, and draw a card. With this trick I can encounter 2 cards in a "Draw 1 card" space.

That's what i mean lengua.gif

A draw 1 card space, can become a draw 2 card space by ditching cards.

To make it a little crazy.

Go to a draw 3 card space in the Highlands, and she can actually draw 4 cards in a turn, if she ditch a worthless trinket after she draw the cards.

This will increase her luck in finding lot's of goodies

Of course if she's healthly gui%C3%B1o.gif. Drawing and encountering 10 Adventure cards at once must be a really enjoyable moment...

I second your opinion; she can ditch (and discard) an Object to actually draw an extra card on a draw-card space. It's not an overpowered trick, it costs you an Object and you won't have an infinite number of Objects you'd like to sacrifice in this manner, especially while you can't discard Enemies.

I think that she cannot use this ability when she draws a card in the Graveyard, as per her third ability, because it is a non-draw card space after all. The Special Ability requires the space to be "a space with the instruction to draw 1 or more cards". I would say ability does not apply to all non-draw card spaces that result in drawing/encountering cards, e.g. the Monster Pit or the Summoning Circle on Dungeon board, but the Monster Pit may be questionable.

Yes, she can't use that drawing ability in the Graveyard, but this doesn't matter, because she can draw an infinite number of cards on the Graveyard ;). The only rule is that the space must have instruction to draw cards for whatever reason. Both Monster Pit and Summoning Circle have the instruction to draw the cards (SC has some special conditions), so she can use her ability while exploring both spaces.

IMO happy.gif

But if you go to the Highlands, and ditching some useless trinkets, then you can make haste in drawing more cards.

You could draw as fast as you can, some very good objects, and encounter some enemies.

Then you have a advantage against your opponent.

But it all depends on the draw.

If you draw 2 cards and one of them is negative, then you will replace the negative card. But if everything is positive, then you will glady ditch a trinket, to draw another one..

The Highland is a good place to hunt.

On top of that, she is actually strength 4/ craft 4.

That are very good statistics gran_risa.gif

I agree that she can't use the abillity on the graveyard.

It must be a draw card space.

I agree that her abililty can work on the Monster pit and summon circle space.

Both spaces mentions that she can draw a card there.

I was already thinking about this one.

Can she draw everytime another card on the graveyard, even if there is already a card on that space??

Yes. Her ability (as well as Graveyard itself) doesn't tell us the total amount of cards that can be drawn. It tells us only that she can draw a card instead of resolving the instructions on the space (for her starting alignment it could be losing a life).

You are right.

Nice ability then. gran_risa.gif

Seems I still don't fully understand ditching.

Talisman FAQ 1-1, p. 3.:

Ruins
Q: Can a character ditch an Object or Follower after drawing
the first card to avoid drawing the second card?
A: Yes. Remember, however, that if a character ditches Objects
or Followers he cannot take them back during the same turn.

So... If I ditch do I still draw? Or do I ditch to avoid drawing?

You avoid drawing by ditching, you may though ditch after drawing if you prefer to draw but want to get rid of something.

Talisman The Blood Moon Expansion Rules are available now!

News.

It seems that the Horrible Black void is included in this expansion gui%C3%B1o.gif

I like the backside of the werewolf card.

Have You seen who that guy with Morgenstern is? lengua.gif

I am reading the rules.

But they mention a Doomsayer…preocupado.gif

It seems that the only way to get rid of the Lycanthrope curse is to become a toad…serio.gif

Look at this from the other side. At least there is a good reason to become a toad. Previously the toad was considered as a badluck. Now the toad can be a bless. gui%C3%B1o.gif

That's right.

But lycanthopy does not look so bad.

It's a way to hunt and kill other players.

You get a +2 to your attack score in the Night, and if you win, they must roll on the werewolf chart

There could be a problem I think if two Lycanthropies could meet each other on CoC. They won't be able to take a life from the defeater Character so they will need to wait when the time card will turn to Day.

Well, your opponent must roll a 2 or 3 to kill himself.

It will take some time…

2: losing life, roll again

3= Losing random follower, otherwise lose 1 life.

It's a game to the death demonio.gif
