The Art of Seduction Plot card question ?

By Daenarys, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi all, just reading the plot card and want to make sure i have this correct.

If the player plays this card then the other person would complete the round until the end and turn over the plot card as normal but then they do not draw ANY plot card. Is this correct ?

Thanks

Not quite - they'd be stuck with the plot that was revealed last round. A plot doesn't stop being the "revealed plot" until a new one takes its place.

Plots are not "turned over" at the end of the round, nor are they "drawn" during the plot phase. Plots are "revealed" from the plot deck. When one plot is revealed, the last one moves from "revealed" to the used plot pile.

With Art of Seduction, you do not get to reveal a new plot card in the next round. So the currently revealed plot card stays where it is. Of course, since you are not revealing it again, you don't get the "when revealed" effects a second time, but the gold, initiative, and claim are still there for you to use.

so timed against a Valar this card is disgusting

Yep - enjoy your 2/0/0 for another round. :)

Think of the fun when you reveal this against an opponent's Fear of Winter. One card each for 2 rounds.

Best to run Forgotton Plans alongside this plot so you aren't left with the unfortunate situation of flipping Art of Seduction Vs Fear of Winter or Threat from the North.

Thanks for the answers, all clear now.
