Minnesota Regional / Days of Ice and Fire May 18th-20th

By Mathias Fricot, in 3. AGoT Organized Play

May 18th - 20th

You can find all the stuff about it here. It is going to be my first regional ever, so it should be a great time. I'm hoping to get in some games of the new board game format while I am there too. I'll be driving down from Canada (hopefully) with some meta mates in tow, so it should be good fun and the Thunder Bay Meta will get some publicity!

Anybody else think they are going to make the trip?

Oh I'm sure I'll be there.

Has anybody who preregistered received the email about choosing their House and stuff?

Nope, and I sent up a follow up email asking about it and have received no response to that as well.

Anyone else find it weird that AGoT is the only LCG that FFG is hosting regionals for?

I am sure since this is the AGoT portion of the forums that it wont affect the vast majority of you. But I find that this is perplexing that FFG are not hosting a regional for their other games themselves.

One could start to assume that AGoT really IS the only game that matters.

*Shrug* poor decision right there.

It's more that the entire Song of ice and fire IP is very important to them. I am surprised they don't have an alternative date for war hammer and cthulhu but such is life.

House Stark.

Who is with me?

They make you choose the house you'll play *now*, weeks in advance? What madness is this?

Psh! I'm going to be playing either Stark or Lannister.

Wouldn't it also encourage a meta to all rank Martell number one and then all play Martell and win?

Yeah true story. I mean I'm not even sure I want to use their new Warhorse, and it is AMAZING! But all their cards are amazing. So you have to cut amazing cards for other amazing cards. Its stupid.

I don't think its really a problem with Stark. You generally have a pretty clear cut 60 best cards for this deck. That being said, I'll probably be playing something different at Days. :P
